Mr. Eugen Hauser was a pioneer in organics in the late 1970's based in Montreal Quebec. After a very successful career as a public servant in various capacities for the Canadian Government, Mr. Hauser felt he could impact society faster through private enterprise. He re-established contacts with associates in his native Germany and began selling North American grown organic crops to them. In turn he also began the import organic items grown in Europe and elsewhere and offering them to his partners here. He had a passion for sustainable farming and spent much time travelling from farm to farm to understand the needs of the people, the process and ensure stable supply for his customers. He truly believed in the ability for organics to change the certain destiny that seems to loom over our world with more pollution, more toxins and more illnesses as a result. After a few years of growth and participation in the marketplace, Mr. Hauser saw that although his commodities business was doing well, consumer availability of these straight commodities was limited. With this reality the idea of "Inari" was born. He began with the employment of staff who had significant knowledge of consumer package goods and the retail environment and set out to design a consumer line that would capitalize on his strengths as a commodity trader and the emerging organic trends.
